Star Relic Released!

Warp Gate Online!

Star Relic is now out to the public! You can play it on the sponsor’s website here. The game will be distributed to more websites in the upcoming weeks.

What a relief. After a year in development (and a few vacations in between), it’s finally out. Now… Now it is time to start working on another game.

Enjoy the game!

I’m enjoying this game very much! Playing the 2nd time in Story Mode (the games that I played in Single Battle mode were too easy, but I haven’t tried all the maps yet, so maybe difficulty depends on the map?). Great concept, very enjoyable graphics, and a good sci-fi atmosphere.
What I’m missing a bit are difficulty modes, it would be great to have easy and normal, or even 3 difficulty modes in the Story Mode.
The game offers already a lot of different maps and different races which is fantastic, but 2 or 3 difficulty modes to choose from would be awesome, and would certainly raise the replay “value”.

First of all, Star Relic is a great game with great gameplay options, especially in hotseat battles vs a human opponent. I really was impressed how much depth and strategy can be evolved with only 5 ships per race and the rotating battlefield which I really didn’t eXpect to cause such a major effect. The stories you’ve put up for the 3 races are nice, I enjoyed them alot, yet there are 2 minor issues I’d want to mention.

First issue is a minor bug, if, at anytime in a batte, each orbit has a Sodinar’s Starcore on, the game will freeze before the opponents turn. Slightly annoying, but if you watch your steps closely that doesn’t happen too often.
Second, I do miss battles with more than one opponent, whether it’s a deathmatch or actual team battles. But thats just me, it’s nice just the way it is now. :)

    Hi there,
After completing all 3 campaigns, I can say this game is absolutly great
Its very original and player vs player is deep strategy oriented and lots of fun.
The only thing that was disappointing for me is the A.I,
especially the singularity unit which is created by the A.I but never used,
the humans repair ship that is created to fix the base while a couple of ships are attacking, instead of an offense strategy, making it really easy destroying their base eventually. Also the A.I never blow up asteroids to make new paths, instead it just go back and forth until a path becomes available, giving you lots of time to organize. The game is just too easy this way. would have loved to see it updated in the future – this game has lots of potential!
but for now it is only fun against another human.
Good luck with your new job ;->

I just wanted to say that I really enjoy Star Relic. It has been very fun to play. It is mostly well done. The ONLY issue I have with it is that after a few turns the game seems have a bug where you cannot select object properly. Please understand that I really like this game, but this one bug is a show stopper. Please fix it. Thank you for all your work!
